Which phones support eSIM
Most phones from the last five years can use eSIM, but carrier-locked and some regional models cannot. Check your phone before you buy — a QuikRoam eSIM is tied to the device it's installed on and cannot be moved to another phone.
Phones that support eSIM
- iPhone XS, XR and newer
- Google Pixel 3 and newer
- Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, plus the Z Fold and Z Flip line and some Galaxy A-series models
- Recent Motorola, Oppo, Xiaomi and Sony phones with eSIM listed in their specifications
- Huawei P40, Mate 40 and newer
Carrier-locked phones and some regional or carrier-specific variants of the models above cannot use eSIM, even though the same model sold elsewhere can. The check below is the only reliable way to know.
How to check your phone
Dial *#06# on your phone. If it shows an EID — a long number, usually starting with 89 — your phone supports eSIM.
On an iPhone: go to Settings › General › About › Available SIM. If it lists an eSIM, your phone is compatible.
